1. What is the Final Writer mailing list?
The Final Writer mailing list is a platform for users of the Amiga word
processor "Final Writer". But also "Final Copy" the former version will be
discussed.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
2. What language is spoken here?
Actually, the major language of the list is English.
But there are a lot of German users (the list was founded in Germany) who
don't speak English very well. So we compromised:
German speaking users that can not explain their problem in detail in English
can write in German. But they should summarize the main topic in English.
Surely there are some other users that can help to post the translation to
the list.
All you English speaking users should understand this situation and you
should not blame them.
To maintain two different FW-lists at the same time is probably not very
useful.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
3. How do I subscribe?
There are three different ways to subscribe:
1) Directly using the Final Writer World Wide Web page:
http://surf.to/finalwriter
2) send "subscribe finalwriter" in the message body to "fwml_admin@thepentagon.com"
3) Send an email to me (
age@thepentagon.com
) with the wish to
subscribe. I will then put you into the subscriber list.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
4. How do I write to the list?
After you are a subscriber of the list send your email to
finalwriter@ThePentagon.com
.
If you want to answer a question of another user of the list, please send
this email also to the list.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
5. What about attachments, are they allowed?
Well, on principle they are not allowed.
(You know, downloading very large messages with a damn slow modem connection
can be really annoying...)
But if you ask the other users first and get their okay it should be possible
if the attachment is not larger than 100kB.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
6. How do I use the message archive?
At the end of each month you can find a collection of all the emails of the
last months at the Aminet:
biz/swood/fwmlxxyy.lha
(xx=year; yy=month).
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
7. What if I want to unsubscribe?
There are three different methods:
1) Directly using the Final Writer World Wide Web page:
http://surf.to/finalwriter
2) Send "unsubscribe finalwriter" in the message body to "fwml_admin@thepentagon.com"
3) Send an email to me (
age@thepentagon.com
) with the wish to
unsubscribe. I will then delete you from the subscriber list.
